Following a pandemic hiatus since the label’s inception, Sejon returns to V1 to deliver his second release for the imprint.

‘Censored Souls’ is a four-track package which continues to facilitate Sejon’s contextual expression of hypnotic grooves, rhythmic lows and atmospheric highs, with techno perspective. With each track offering variety in mood, character and spirit, Sejon sets the tone for the EP with cuts journeying through energies of dark and light, expansive and subversive, true to his perspective from the inside out, inspired by the outside in.

Title track ‘Censored Souls’, evolves from the offset with a single kick drum developing into a vibrant, looping groove, with sweeping synths and haunting chimes swelling around percussive hits. Darker, edgier vibes await in ‘Lost In Translation’, with panning synth stabs cutting through mechanical drum and texture rhythms throughout. ‘Speedbird’ flies into uplifting territory with a positively, hypnotic dub techno vibe, moulded around classic techno percussion. Wrapping up the EP, ‘Game Changer’ takes us on a simply hypnotic, funky groove and percussion journey with a raw edge.

As solid stand-alone tracks, or tools for DJs looking for layers in a greater signal, ‘Censored Souls’ continues the pace for V1.
